Plane crash claim lives of two men
NORTHSIDE - Two men lost their lives as the light aircraft they were travelling in crashed in Delporton, Krugersdorp.
Two people died this afternoon after the aircraft they were travelling in crashed in Delporton, Krugersdorp. According to paramedic Bradley Smith of Quick Response Services, the light plane crashed shortly after taking off . “It looks like the pilot lost control of the plane. The accident happened about a kilometre from the airstrip.”
The two occupants were the pilot and instructor.
Santi Steinmann of Netcare 911 said authorities are currently on scene and investigating the crash.
“Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a Civil Aviation Authority investigation,” said Steinmann.
