First concert for Little Champs

ALLEN'S NEK - Little Champs rock at their very first concert.

On Friday 28 November, Allen’s Nek-based day-care centre Little Champs held their first concert at the crèche.

The little ones surprised their parents with one of the performances as they were singing in Swati. The cream of the evening was the pupils’ performance as they recited the National Anthem.

One of the grandmothers, who attended the concert, Suleila Montgomery said she was impressed that the children sang the National Anthem so well. “It was a treat watching the joy and enthusiasm of the kids, who are all under five, sang, pranced and danced and then in closing, lustily belt out the National Anthem. I couldn’t have cheered any louder! Whoop! Whoop! I know of many adults who don’t know or can’t recite the National Anthem with such confidence.”

Other parents who were also in attendance shared the same views and said they were delighted to see their children render such a sterling performance.

Co-owner of the day care Barry Richards said, they develop early social skills in a relaxed, happy environment which he accredits to the good performance the children rendered. “Small classes ensure our champs are well supervised and receive individual attention from professionally qualified caregivers.

We aim to enhance the various ways your little champ thinks: imaginatively, speculatively and inventively, aided by our caring staff and a garden jungle gym and play equipment,” Richards said in conclusion.
