Tenant murder case postponed to 2015

It is alleged that the murder followed an argument between Nkululeko and his tenant.

The case of four suspects that are being trialled for the murder of a tenant has been postponed to January next year.

The brothers Nkululeko and Abraham Nkosi, aged 44 and 32 respectively, and their alleged co-conspirators Mmezi Mthembu, 34, and Sandra Mabizela, 39 (believed to be Nkululeko’s wife) appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 26 November.

It is alleged that the murder followed an argument between Nkululeko and his tenant.

It is believed that Abraham, Mthembu and Mabizela were his co-conspirators. According to a source known to the record, Nkululeko was charged with murder as well as being in possession of a firearm without a licence. Mthembu was later arrested for murder and handing a firearm to a person without a license. His wife and brother were arrested on assault charges. All suspects pleaded not guilty and Abraham and Mabizela were released on bail.

Nkululeko and Mthembu, that are currently in custody for the alleged murder, appeared briefly alongside Mabizela and Abraham in court on Wednesday.

Their case was postoned to 19 January 2015.
