Insect found in item purchased at Woolworths in Honeydew

HONEYDWEW - Woolworths customer said they found a dead insect in a pack of noodles she purchased from the store at Rock Cottage in Honeydew.

Just a few days after a Woolworths customer complained that they found a dead frog inside a salad, another one has come forward alleging to have found a dead insect.

Randpark Ridge resident Dominique Ford said they were shocked to find at dead insect inside a pack of noodles they bought at Woolworths Honeydew Village Shopping Centre (opposite Rock Cottage Shopping Center).

According to Ford, she and her mother threw out the packet of noodles which they had opened a day after they went shopping at Woolworths on 12 November.

“My mom poured the noodles into the bowl and she saw the bug. She basically had to scrape out all the noodles because she was worried about what was going to be in there.”

Ford said they always purchased their products at Woolworths because of the high quality standards they believed were held at the retailer. “A lot of weird things have happened over the past two weeks which leaves a big question mark on the quality standards of Woolworths.”

Wolworths is still to comment on the matter.
