Ice cold blow to Florida drug scene

103 bags of dagga seized.

The ICE Community Policing forum has had a minor victory in the war on drugs in Florida.

Last night just before midnight ICE patrollers caught a suspect with 103 small bags of dagga as he was on his way to a well known drug hotspot in Rail Street.

The estimated value of the dagga is R1300. The suspect was apprehended and handed over to the Florida police, says ICE chairperson Luqmaan Rahim.

Rahim has asked the community to join their Whatsapp action group by sending their details to 084 455 5444. The ICE group now covers Florida, Florida Lake, Hamburg, Newclare, Riverlea and Florida Park.

  1. So overboard. “Drugs” hype over a few tiny bags of weed. Meanwhile our compatriots are being executed or robbed on our city’s streets daily. I mean you’ve got to be kidding me…!?!? Very sad. Talk about bad priorities. Our cops focus on easy targets while the armed gangsters roam free. The guilt of innocent lives lost should be on their conscience while they count these bags of weed

  2. Yeah that’s it. Nail some dude trying to earn a living selling a few bags of weed, meanwhile gangs of ruthless armed thugs hop from one shop to the next and innocent lives are lost due to violent crime in our city daily. Get your priorities right SAPS. The blood of innocent lives should be on your conscience while you’re counting these bags of weed which if anything bring peace and relief to our hopelessly corrupt country. Shame on you
