Maragon rakes in awards

Several Maragon pupils who participated in the first round of the annual Eisteddfod of the National Eisteddfod Academy which took place earlier in the year, were awarded for their outstanding performances throughout the entire competition.

Maragon spokesperson Belinda Espag said these events afford opportunities for some of the top achievers in the various regions, as identified during the competition, to perform on stage. “An important feature of each Young Performer Showcase is the award ceremony where the achievements of participants in each region are acknowledged. The certificates, medals and other awards presented at these events provide a strong incentive to young performers and create greater awareness of the arts,” she said.
