With the saying ‘It is better to give than receive’, Maragon Private Schools recently hosted its annual Carols by Candlelight.
According to spokesperson for the school, Belinda Espag, for so many this time of the year is filled with sadness, but the pupils lightened the moment when carol singers under the guidance of Shaun Hansel entertained the audience.
“The tables were decorated festively and there was an abundance of delicious eats to be enjoyed. The theme of the evening was ‘bring and share’.
“The spirit of sharing was evident,” she said and in true Maragon spirit the parents donated more than 150 gifts to Zandspruit, Els Medsorg, St Laurence’s Children’s Haven and Die Ruiter Primary School.
“The children’s reaction was such a blessing,” she said.
