On Saterday the Helderkruin Lions visited the Luipaardsvlei Old Age Home to spread some Christmas cheer as part of their Christmas Wish List project.
All the residents could put three gifts on their wish list they wanted for Christmas. With money the Lions raised as well as from supporters’ donations, they were able to give the residents all three gifts they put on their wish list. Lions president Michelle van der Westhuizen says although it was a Helderkruin Lions project it would have been impossible without the help and support of friends, family, collegues and the community.
According to Van der Westhuizen the gifts’ value was between R25 000 and R35 000 and 135 residents were treated. One resident, Deon Enslin even received a much-needed brand-new wheelchair.
