23 October — The SA Society for Amateur Paleontologists will present a talk by Dr Francois Durand entitled How many species are there on our family tree? The radiation of humankind at the Sci-Enza auditorium on the University of Pretoria campus. The talk is free and open to the public. 1 November — The SA Toy Trade will host their Mini-Me Golf and Fun Day at Jim and Jerry’s Driving Range on Hole-in-one Drive, Ruimsig. From 9am coaching and fun games will be hosted for two to eight-year-olds by PGA professional golf coaches. Other fun family activities will include jumping castles, a play area, putt-putt grounds, bunker fun, archery and an SA Toy Trade pop-up store. Prizes will be awarded to the best participants.
