Breakfast to promote confidence

The Bacon & Egg Toastmasters take breakfast and speeches very seriously.

Meeting for breakfast on Saturdays is but one part of what the Bacon & Egg Toastmasters do over weekends.

The other is contently listening to and giving constructive feedback on speeches delivered by keen members, the idea being to improve one’s confidence, tone and projection during public speeches.

The Toastmasters got together at a restaurant in Horizon View for such an occastion recently. Evaluators presented the trophy for best speaker to Justine Lacy for her speech Make your life ridiculously spectacular.

“Justine only started her journey with us six months ago and is doing extremely well,” says public relations officer, Glen Campbell.

Viv Roney was chosen as best evaluator of the morning for his constructive and uplifting criticism on speeches delivered.

Their next meeting will be held on Saturday 1 November and everyone attending will be required to wear hats for a special draw.
