The Roodepoort man linked to more than 16 crimes is expected to appear at the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 October.
Tip-offs from community members led to the successful arrest of the suspect.
“The man has been linked to various crimes, including murder and 11 cases of theft,” said JMPD Chief-Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
The man in his 20s was linked to crimes as recent at this year, while others dated as far back as 2002.
Robberies at businesses, possession of an unlicensed firearm and vehicle theft are just a few of the crimes he has committed in the past decade.
