Play shows the good and bad sides of life

WILGEHEUWEL – 'Glashuis in Taylor Straat' promises to be a fun filled play that everyone should attend.

Glashuis in Taylor straat is a play that will take place at the AGS Arendshoogte from 19 to 26 October.

Pastor Martin Beneke explained that the play is about a family of three of which the father is a very wealthy businessman who cheats on his wife with a beautiful blond. The man’s wife, Stella, goes to church regularly, but she isn’t perfect either and their daughter, Adrie, loses her best friend and then makes a drastic decision to escape from her troubled life.

Beneke said the play is about life and the challenges normal people face every day. “There are two sides to everything and in this play, the two sides are played by the devil and an angel, who both have their files that predict if the characters will go to heaven or to hell.”

The play is not all serious, as one the characters called Stanley, who is a mechanic, does so much to lighten the mood with his antics.

Pastor Beneke added that the play is free for everyone to attend and it should be a fun evening out for the family. “The play will start at 7pm every day from 19 to 26 October and we urge the public to come out in their numbers to support the amateur actors who spend so much of their time to perfect their performances.”
