Four suspects, one of which a Roodepoort landlord (34), appeared in court after shots were fired and a tenant was killed on Monday 13 October.

The alleged murder followed an argument between the landlord and one of his tenants. Three others allegedly were involved in the incident that transpired earlier in October. According to a source, known to the record, the suspect was charged with murder and being in possession of a firearm without a license. His alleged accomplice (44) later was arrested for murder and handing a firearm to a person without a license. Two others, believed to be the landlord’s wife (39) and the accomplice’s brother (32), later were arrested for assault.

The suspected wife and brother were released on bail following their hearing on Monday. Their next court appearance is not known yet to the record.
