The future Albert Einsteins were discovered at the Cmaths (Japanese Abacus maths) Regional Competition in Weltevreden recently.

Pupils from Randburg, Bryanston and Ruimsig who are between three to 11 years participated in the competition.

“Pupils thoroughly enjoyed it and were well rewarded for their hard work,” said Randburg Caretaker for Cmaths Soroban Education Venessa Vermeulen.

“They made their parents so proud. This competition showed excellent results for our future maths genius students.”

Vermeulen stated that it is essential for children to work hard for the competition. ” At this competition, the kids are chosen for the national competition and thereof, [for the] international competition,”she said.
