Jozua Naudé bids HOD farewell

Head of Department Gezani Sikhuni says he will be an ambassador of the school forever.

In a celebration of Heritage Day and his time with them, pupils bade farewell to Gezani Sikhuni, their head of department.

The former HOD accepted a position with the Department of Education after two years at Jozua Naudé Primary School.

Pupils all wore their traditional outfits to school to celebrate their heritage, and a special farewell event was held for Sikhuni in the school hall.

After the head boy and girl gave speeches of appreciation, teacher Lawrence Netshiendeulu spoke about six of Sikhuni’s qualities he admires – respect, punctuality, reliability, determination, confidence and perseverance.

“I’ll always admire his ability to take a business idea or venture from a casual conversation,” Netshiendeulu said.

“He walked into the school with determination to maintain or excellence.”

Sikhuni was given the opportunity to greet his peers and the pupils.

“I walked in her in October 2012 to add value, to perform to my best ability.

“God didn’t make a mistake to place me here, I have grown with you,” he said.

“I’m leaving you after two years for personal development, yes, but I’ll always be Jozua Naudé Primary’s proudest ambassador.”
