On 30 September at approximitely 6am a passer-by discovered an old man hanging from a tree in Deysel Road, Honeydew.
According to Honeydew Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs, the man was discovered by a security guard who explained that the man was well-known in the area, she added that the bystanders said that the man was aged in his seventies.
She said, “We are still uncertain about the cause of the man’s death and if he was strangled or if he hung himself, we are busy with an inquest into the case.”
Jacobs added that more details will be released following an investigation by the Honeydew Police Detective squad.
