Hogs with hearts of gold

Almost 250 riders take to the street to raise awareness for cancer.

On Saturday, 20 September, the Harley Owners Group (Hog) Clearwater Chapter got together for a mass ride in order to raise awareness for cancer.

The group left at approximately 8.30am and collected members from other chapters such as Rustenburg and Alberton in a huge convoy consisting of Harley riders on their mean machines as well as JMPD.

Back at the Harley Davidson Clearwater dealership there were various stalls offering food, drinks and novelties such as jewellery, which were on sale to raise money for Cansa.

Councillor Carl Mann rode pillion and acted as one of the marshals for the ride.

“I just want to say thank you to Toni Miller and the guys from Harley as well as JMPD. I enjoyed the event thoroughly. It was well-organised, professional and safe. I want to call on the community to support events of this nature and to get more involved in Cansa,” says Mann.
