A dry Monday for Northside suburbs

METRO –It’s been a dry Monday for most Joburg residents as there was no running water from their taps. Spokesperson for Johannesburg Water Millicent Kabwe said there was no water in certain parts of the city because Randwater was experiencing electrical problems at the Eikenhof pump station. “Water cannot be pumped into the reservoirs.” She could not confirm as to when will water supply be restored but said Randwater is working to resolve the situation.

At this stage the affected reservoirs are:

– Weltevreden park

– Randpark Ridge

– Honeydew

– Radiokop

– Littlefalls/Ruimsig

– Struben’s Valley

– Allen’s Nek

– Florida North

– Hursthill

– Zondi

– Honeydew

– Waterfall Tower

– Constantia Tower

– Quellerina Tower
