On Thursday 28 August the occupant of a cottage on a premises in Mossie Street noticed two suspects on the property in spite of the fact that the gate was locked.
She panicked and tried to lock herself in the cottage but the suspects forced the door open. The two suspects also proceeded to gain entry to the main house on the property and held both the complainant and the domestic worker at knife point taking their cell phones and jewellery.
After they have fled the complainant phoned the community watch who pursued the suspects. The police joined the search and arrested the two suspects.
The suspects appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on charges of house robbery.
