Good news for motorists

Diesel also likely to come down.

Soon the new petrol price will be announced.

For the past six months motorists had to pay more than R14 per litre and it generally is agreed upon that the record high petrol prices have contributed to the steep inflation.

If the Central Energy Fund’s (CEF) latest figures are anything to go by, motorists should see the price of fuel coming down. According to the CEF the past month’s lower international product prices have led to a recovery of 68c per litre on 95 octane petrol and 62c per litre on 93 octane petrol. This should translate to a drop in petrol prices of 70c per litre.

It also is expected that diesel will come down with approximately 19c per litre.
