Bikers gather in support of road-rage victim’s family

Case postponed again.

The case of Meekahefele Mosooa, the alleged shooter in the February road-rage incident that claimed the life of motorcyclist Douglas Pearce, continued in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court today (21 August).

Pearce was shot and killed on Malibongwe Drive near Northriding after he and Mosooa had an altercation and both allegedly drew their firearms.

Mosooa who claims he acted in self-defence is currently out on R5 000 bail.

Pearce’s family was hoping that it would be decided today whether the case should go to the High Court, but it was postponed again until 30 September.

Meanwhile a group of about 15 bikers, including Pearce’s brother Nigel on the deceased’s beloved orange Kawasaki, gathered outside the court to support the family.
