Another successful Bacon and Egg Toastmasters

Toastmasters hailed as great success.

The Bacon and Egg Toastmaster Meeting Number 65 was held on Saturday 9th August at Meat and Eat at Horizon Village.

The Meeting Theme was ‘computers’ and Word of the Day was ‘programme’.

“We had a wonderful turnout with several guests who have confirmed that they will be joining up,” says Glen Campbell who also acted as Toastmaster on the day.

Nicole Do Espirito presented the Loyal Toast and Kevin Marsden, the treasurer, gave the Toast of the Morning with an interesting talk on the history of computers.

Speech of the Day was won by Ria Hughes who gave an impromptu speech called ‘A Life Sentence’. Table Topics was won by Elaine O’Gorman and Best Evaluator was won by Viv Roney.

Toastmasters not only encourages public speaking but also good leadership skills.

The Toastmasters will shortly be entering a Humorous and Impromptu Contest.
