Suspect busted with drugs worth R20 000

More than hundred 'bowties' found in hair salon.

On 25 July Florida’s Visible Policing unit was patrolling on Ontdekkers Road, Delarey, when they saw a suspicious-looking man.

When the suspect saw the police he tried to flee and ran into a hair salon. The police followed him into the salon and found three ‘bowties’ of drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash on the man.

When the police searched the hair salon they found more than a hundred ‘bowties’ of a substance believed to be drugs.

The foreign national, aged 29, was detained and will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.

  1. And there we go once again De la Rey! Drugs drugs drugs. Why oh why is nothing being done about Mr. Gift and his so called ‘runners’! Everybody knows he operates from the hotel in Delarey and the surrounding flats, yet nothing is done?? I have heard of a number of arrests of people purchasing drugs from there, I agree get these damn druggies off the streets and out of society, but what about the ‘king pin’ and his employees. I am so happy to hear of an arrest of a dealer, and hope he gets punished to the full extend of the law, but when will Mr.Gift get his gift??
