ALLEN’S NEK – Allen Glen High School turns 21 this year and as part of the school’s planned birthday celebrations, a music concert is scheduled for Saturday, 2 August at the school’s main field.
Scheduled to perform at the concert are Liquideep, Cassper Nyovest, AKA, as well as a local artist V, who is currently a pupil at the school.
Yfm’s Khutso Theledi is set to MC the night.
“With a line-up as awesome as this, tickets are sure to fly,” said a teacher at the school, Ivana Steyn.
She encourages those interested in attending this much-anticipated event to make use of an e-ticketing system on the schools website, www.allenglen.co.za.
“Proof of payment will be required when collecting tickets from the school.”
Tickets cost R150 and gates open at 3pm on the day of the concert.
Should the tickets still be available, there will be gate sales on the day of the concert.
Steyn said the concert is open to the public and the organisers hope to attract past pupils and their families to this event.
She emphasised that no person will be allowed onto the the concert venue without a ticket.
The bringing of alcohol, food and beverages onto the property will be strictly prohibited and food and soft drinks will be on sale on the day.
Safe parking on site will also be provided.
