The Sparrow Rainbow Village Aids Hospice was rewarded for the good work they do by various businesses as well as the SAPS on Mandela Day (18 July).

Europe Assist, Transman, Life Flora Clinic, Fresh Earth Gluten Free Bake House and the SAPS were just some of the organisations that spent their 67 minutes at this establishment that takes cares of those in the advance stages of Aids.

No one can be singled out but the SAPS deserves a special mention for the more than 220 boxes of food, toys, paint and sports equipment they donated in the week leading up to Mandela Day.

“At the end of the day every donation makes a difference, even if it is a tin of baked beans,” says founder of Sparrow Rainbow Village, Reverend Doctor Corine McClintlock.
