67 minutes of fun at Dorah’s Ark

Dorah's Ark has had so many offers to help that they'll need an extra Mandela Day, Ogle said.

67 minutes were not enough for all of the philanthropic work at Siyabonga Dorah’s Ark this Mandela Day (Friday 18 July).

Founder of Siyabonga Dorah’s Ark, Mama Dorah Mazibuko was present to share in the fun. Children that are staying at the children’s home were treated to an extensive lunch of hotdogs, juice, fruit and cupcakes outside On the Dot, run by Media24.

Other volunteers were busy expanding the Dorah’s Ark garden.

Fundraiser Patty Ogle was overwhelmed with people contacting her, also wanting to do their part.

“This is such a wonderful day, it’s great to see people coming together like this,” she later said.

“We’ll need a whole other day to fit in all the willing corporate and private volunteers!”
