A collision on Constantia Boulevard saw eight people sustaining injuries.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring, paramedics arrived on scene and found two vehicles stationary next to the busy road. It became apparent that a light motor vehicle and a taxi had collided.
“The injured occupants of the taxi were sitting on the pavement. Their injuries were assessed and ranged from minor to moderate,” Meiring says.
Paramedics treated them on scene where after the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
“The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene and will conduct further investigations.”
