Bikers for Mandela Day

JOBURG - DJ Fresh will be devoting his 67 Minutes for Mandela campaign on his new K 1600 GTL exclusively from Bavarian Motorcycle.

Motorcycle fanatics are gearing up to celebrate Mandela Day in style.

DJ Fresh, whose real name is Thato Sikwane, was announced as the new Bavarian Motorcycle ambassador, which is the largest approved BMW Motorrad dealership in South Africa.

The charming DJ, who has always been part of Bikers for Mandela Day, will be jetting off on his new K1600 GTL exclusively from Bavarian Motorcycles just in time to devote his 67 Minutes for the Mandela campaign.

The charismatic and stylish DJ Fresh will be spreading the Madiba legacy by riding hand-selected models of BMW motorcycles supplied by the dealership.

Bavarian Motorcycles said they approached DJ Fresh about a brand ambassadorship campaign because of his charm, and the excellent brand-synergy between himself and BMW-motorcycles.

“Riding BMW motorcycles is more than just hopping on a bike and tearing up the road,” said Sharon Smith, marketing manager of Bavarian Motorcycles.

“Riding a BMW motorcycle quickly becomes a lifestyle – from the state-of-the-art bikes to BMW-gear and apparel – once you have had a taste, you are hooked.”

DJ Fresh has always been emphatic in the brands he associates himself with. He’s arguably one of the smartest celebrities in the country when it comes to brand-building.

“We are extremely excited about our working relationship with DJ Fresh – from our first meeting it was clear that we not only have common ground, but that he was immediately part of the Bavarian family.”

Speaking about his new partnership with Bavarian Motorcycles, Fresh highlighted that “BMW make top notch products and their bikes are no different. Working with a family-owned and -run business is just the cherry on top.”
