The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty towards Animals (SPCA) of Roodepoort held their annual general meeting (AGM) this past Saturday (14 June).
After attending to general business, various of its supporters were honoured with honorary memberships. These members include Christine Kuch, Brian Keith (long service), Cora Bailey (in absentia) and the celebrity couple Jeremy and Jaqui Mansfield (in absentia).
The Mansfields were honoured with honorary membership for continuously sponsoring a kennel at the Roodepoort SPCA and for inspiring a love towards animals.
This coming Thursday also will see the official opening of Roodepoort SPCA’s own bookshop. The public is invited to come and browse, buy and donate their unwanted books.
