Save electricity or else, says Eskom

Public warned that loadshedding might occur if there is no drop in use today.

The electricity provider Eskom has announced on Thursday (12 June) afternoon that if there is no drop in electricity usage today (13 June) that loadshedding will take place over the weekend.

Large parts of South Africa was without electricity on Wednesday night due to loadshedding. This came after two units at Duvha and Kendal power stations tripped and a portion of the capacity usually imported from Cahora Bassa became unavailable.

Roodepoort can expect to be affected at the following times should the decision be made to implement loadshedding:

Allen’s nek, Breaunanda, Constantia Kloof, Davidsonville, Discovery, Grobler Park, Groblerpark, Helderkruin, Honey Hills, Horison, Horison Park, Horison, Kloofendal, Lindhaven, Manufacta, Matholesville, Ontdekkers Park, Princess, Princess AH, Reefhaven, Roodekrans, Roodepoort, Roodepoort CBD, Roodepoort North, Roodepoort West, Selwyn, Weltevreden Park, West Gate, Wilro Park and Witpoortjie on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am until 2pm.
