Pedestrian accident leaves woman dead
HONEYDEW - A woman was killed after being hit by a car on Beyer Naude Drive.
A 54-year-old woman lost her life after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle on Beyers Naudé Drive on 27 May.
Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the accident, and upon their arrival found that the woman had been knocked over by a motor vehicle.
Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said, “A male passenger of the motor vehicle was found to have sustained serious injuries following the accident. The man was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.”
She added that the exact detail of the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation. Honeydew police spokesperson Karen Jacobs confirmed that they were on scene, but added that an investigation is still underway and more details will be released to the public shortly.
