Rocci aims to create better leaders and entrepreneurs through their expert workshops.
Another workshop presented in collaboration with the Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Rocci) explored the art of content creation last Thursday (22 May).
The workshop was presented by marketing expert Leon Marinus from ATKA SA who discussed his company’s marketing system, Market Me. He covered what he referred to as the “where, when and how” of article and video creation and posting.
“An easy rule about content creation is that you shouldn’t market in your content. Content is just that, content.”
Residents and Rocci members got tips on how to add value to their online posts to build a positive reputation for their brand. Search engine optimisation (SEO) was discussed briefly with the emphasis on long-tail keywords (a keyword that is two to three words long). Video creation and posting was handled as a separate topic, and Marinus explained what a welcome and thank-you video should contain, as well as many other examples.
