Two suspects were arrested for house robbery in Witpoortjie on Wednesday (14 May), says Roodepoort police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo.
The two suspects approached a house at approximately noon. When the domestic worker answered the door they said her that they came to take measurements for curtain rails. The woman told them that she can not let them in because her employer did not tell her about the visit.
The men left and returned an hour later claiming that they have spoken to the homeowner and they have permission to enter the house.
The domestic worker let them in but was overpowered by the two men and tied up in a carpet. The suspects left with electrical appliances but later was apprehended by the police.
