School mourns its admissions secretary
POORTVIEW - Beloved staff member leaves behind memories at The Kings School West Rand.
Principal Ken Langley of The Kings School West Rand, Poortview, informed Northsider that the school lost one of their staff members who had been working for the school for 20 years.
“It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved Admissions Secretary Marlene du Preez,” Langley said.
“Aunty Marlene will be sorely missed in our front office and we honour her memory with deep respect at The King’s School West Rand.”
Langley added that Du Preez, who died on 27 April, started working at the school on 1 July 1994.
“In all the years that she served in this place, she became synonymous with dedication, hard work and passion for Christian Education. May her family and friends be comforted at this time and may the peace of God which surpasses understanding be your portion.”
