Mothers day in the sun at botanical gardens

Families flocked to the Walther Sisulu Botanical Gardens to enjoy Mothers Day.

Mother’s Day proved once again that the Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden is one of the choice destinations in Roodepoort when it comes to relaxation and entertainment.

A special Mother’s Day celebration was held at the garden on 11 May that saw more than a thousand friends, family and of course moms gather to soak in the autumn sun.

The crowd was entertained by two very diverse acts. One act to take to the stage was the Kizuri Queens who performed traditional Tshwana-inspired songs and dance. The crowd and especially younger children thoroughly enjoyed this collective.

The second act for the day was the Ghoema-nominated Henry Prince who serenaded the crowd with love songs and light opera.
