Effective website workshop with Rocci

Rocci presents yet another comprehensive, exciting business workshop with marketing expert Leon Marinus.

Cross channel marketing expert Leon Marinus taught Rocci members about website development at another Rocci business workshop on Tuesday 25 March.

Marinus, from ATKA SA Cross Channel Marketing Specialists, gave important advice and tips on how to improve a company’s current website. He emphasised the advantage of having a company’s website appearing at the top of Google search results. The workshop, titled Basics of your website, detailed the importance of having a good website for one’s brand and pairing it with a well thought-out social media strategy.

Marinus said that one’s online credibility extends way beyond a good website, “and in fact your website is about 25 per cent of what will get you a top ranking on Google search results”. He explained that in a world where Google is referred to for any person’s queries, it is of utmost importance that local business owners are visible online and that their websites and social media profiles remain updated, “at least once a week”.

“Your website is your brand, and once you get your brand’s online presence right, your business really can skyrocket.

“A good website has a basic and clean design, is easy to navigate, gives a person quick information, includes a call to action and – for a company’s database purposes – includes an opt-in form or a form of registration; it has a blog [or articles and written content] and includes a social media feed.”
