Discovery Primary on top in provincial general knowledge competition

Three of five pupils places first.

Discovery Primary School came out on top as three of their five participating pupils finished in first place at the Words and Numbers Competition held in Linden recently.

The competition saw over 60 schools participating from all over Gauteng. Sitting behind a computer, pupils had to endure 10 tough stages of 50 random language and mathematical questions to show they have what it takes.

The pupils from Discovery Primary, all in Grade 7, clearly had no problem to cope with the requirements and returned home with the following results:

• Zachary Padayachee – first with 252 points

• Matthew Collins – first with 192 points

• Keagan Engelbrecht – first with 189 points

• Sher-Ali Chippa – second with 144 points

• Thato Moloantoa – second with 141 points
