Mahindra madness: Head office steps in

Head office intervenes to sort out problems with a local service centre.

Mahindra South Africa seems to have come to the table after a resident, Barbara Ecksteen recently complained about her terrible struggles around repairs and maintenance on her vehicle at a service centre in Helderkruin, Roodepoort.

“The mentioned vehicle is still under warranty and the client showed up on the premises on 23 December last year, expecting us to rectify her vehicle’s gearbox issues there and then,” a GDP Bassons Investments (Pty) Ltd spokesperson stated to the Record.

“She was unrealistic in her expectations as the gearbox industry, as most other industries, was closed for the holidays.”

“In the past two years my vehicle was treated like toilet paper by that centre; I wanted to pursue repairs with another centre, I wanted to follow up with Mahindra’s head office, I wanted to plead my case with an ombudsman,” Ecksteen countered.
