Roodepoort Theatre, the next youth hub

The Roodepoort Theatre that has been revamped recenty has a grand vision for the future of local youth, marketing officer Nevolan Reddy told the Record on Friday 14 February.

The Theatre has an audience development strategy in place that will focus on children and youth aged between two and 35 and on family-oriented entertainment.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the Theatre will invest in youth activities, perhaps even including a skate park.

“Our vision with the Theatre is to make this a safe, fun space for children and teenagers. We want to offer them a hub of great activities and opportunities to become involved in the arts,” Reddy told the Record.
