City Power Johannesburg made a public announcement on Sunday 16 February of a planned power interruptions in Florida.
“You are hereby notified of a planned power interruption on Tuesday 18 February at 10pm,” the notice read.
Areas including Florida, Florida Glen, Florida Hills, Florida North, Industria North and Maraisburg will be affected.
According to the notice, the power interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on the network, which it identifies as “past of [our] programme of constantly striving to provide better service”.
The notice posted to a community page on facebook on Sunday 16 February, it read that the power interruption will last from 10pm on Tuesday to 6am on Wednesday 19 February.
“As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times.
“City Power regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by these interruptions.”
