Theft out of motor vehicles is currently a concern in most Northside suburbs.
Honeydew police appealed to motorists to ensure no property was left inside vehicles. This included the boot.
The police urged residents to remove their navigators (GPS) when their vehicles were parked. These were easily noticed and most theft occurred when items were on display.
They also advised residents to make certain their vehicles were locked when parked. “When using a remote to lock your car, stand next to it and double check that the vehicle is indeed locked, ” Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs of the Honeydew police said.
