It’s not too late for voter registration

JOBURG - Final voter registration on 8 and 9 February

Residents need not panic if they haven’t yet registered to vote in this year’s elections. The final voter registration weekend will take place on 8 and 9 February and voting stations will be open from 8am to 5pm on both days.

Ward 89 councillor Ingrid Reinten said that residents who have moved in the last few years should register at a voting station close to their home. “Voting station locations can be checked on the IEC website,” said Reinten.

Voting stations in Ward 89 include the park in Kroton Street South, Panorama Primary School, Laerskool Fairland, Cliffview Primary School and Zoe Ministries in Kompas Crescent.

Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin said, “The three voting stations in Ward 127 are located at Weltevreden Park Primary, Allen Glen High School and Boskop Primary.”

Residents can check their current registration details at voting stations or via www.elections.co.za.
