Ontdekkers accident results in serious injuries
Two women sustained moderate to serious injuries in an accident on Tuesday 14 January.
ER 24 spokesperson Luyanda Majija confirmed that one patient was transported by their services following an accident on Ontdekkers Road on the morning of Tuesday 14 January.
“It appears that a vehicle skipped the traffic light and a second vehicle t-boned that vehicle while crossing the intersection of Ontdekkers Road and CR Swart Road,” Majija explained.
ER 24 focused on the patient from the second vehicle who sustained serious neck injuries. The woman (47) was transported to Wilgeheuwel Hospital.
Netcare 911 transported the patient from the first vehicle, who sustained moderate to serious injuries, to Life Flora Clinic for further medical care.
The circumstances of the accident and preceding events should be investigated by police, Majija concluded to the Record.
