Hard work rewarded at DPCSA prize giving

Local photographers do Northside proud

It was a day of rewarding hard work and reflecting on the year’s achievements.

On Sunday 8 December the Digital Photography Club South Africa (DPCSA) held its annual prize giving event at Berario Recreation Centre in Northcliff.

Local photographer Margie Asprey from Allens Nek walked away with the best image award under the colour category, for a photograph she produced titled, ‘Hello Sailor’. Asprey was also the overall most improved photographer at the club. For this achievement she was awarded a trophy and received a 37-inch LCD TV.

Photographers Bert and Jenny Laufs from Weltevreden Park received awards for best images produced; Bert for his work, ‘Fox in Fur,’ and Jenny for her work, ‘Planet Zog’.

DPCSA chairperson Rob Nelson congratulated all winners, highlighted the club’s achievements and shared the club’s plans for the year ahead.

Founder of DPCSA Stuart Nelson said he was pleased with the progress the club is making as it continues to attract more people on an international level.
