It is clear that DA Gauteng Premiership candidate Mmusi Maimane is relying strongly on his anti-e-toll lobbying to win favour with the Gauteng voters with a view to the 2014 elections.
Today, 21 November, Maimane met supporters at Gosforth Park in Germiston to reveal the DA’s new billboards for its campaign against e-tolling.
The message that reads “A vote for the DA is a vote against e-tolls” might be less controversial than “E-tolls. Proudly brought to you by the ANC” but it still aims to hit the emotional centre of Gauteng voters’ minds.
The messages will be displayed on the same three billboards that carried the “Proudly brought to you …” message, one of which being alongside the N1 highway just off the 14th Avenue onramp.
