Toastmasters Clubs’ Funny Bunny named

Contest held to identify club's comedian.

The Bacon and Eggs Toastmasters welcomed spring in the most comedic of ways when members hosted a Humorous and Impromptu Contest at another regular meeting held at the Meat and Eat restaurant in Horizon Village recently.

“Spring has sprung and what better way to celebrate the start of summer by attending the Bacon and Eggs Toastmasters meetings held on the first and third Saturday morning of each month,” Glen Campbell of the club said.

“Meeting number 44 was our Humorous and Impromptu Contest and we all attended with great anticipation.”

Winning both contests was Graham Shirley, who is the club’s current Impromptu Champion for District 74 (Southern Africa). He then went on to represent Bacon and Eggs at the Area Contest in mid September.

Taking up the position of Contest Chair was Jerry Mathaba. Second place in the Humorous contest went to Glen Campbell while Nadiem Solomon took second and Ricky Cromer-Wilson third place in the Impromptu Contest.
