Tackle zombies to survive the dash

Don't miss South Africa's largest obstacle race, with a twist!

Plaster on the war paint because Survival Dash #2 is around the corner. This year the people of Jozi will be running through what can only be described as an epically fun-filled apocalyptic race.

With approximately 8kms of challenging obstacles, the second Survival Dash is guaranteed to have competitors sweating like terrified monsters, while at the same time enjoying every minute of it.

The situation: It’s a catastrophe, reconnaissance footage has shown that Jozi as we know it is about to come to a cataclysmic end. The zombie break-out has gone viral and it is spreading fast.

The mission: You are part of a South African tribe that is not only determined to survive, but to win a deadly and terrifying race against the walking dead. Not only will you be required to fight your way over obstacles, but dodging brain hungry zombies is mandatory to make it to the safety zone.

Survivors can expect to receive three life flags which must be guarded with their life – literally. Then they can expect to trek through an epic 8km course filled with zombies, hardcore obstacles and of course our legendary South African wildlife. The goal is to avoid being bitten by the undead who are out for blood, guts, your grey matter and finally, life flags.

The rules: Survivors are safe when standing in line or when completing various obstacles. The goal is to complete the race in the fastest time possible with at least one life flag left. The fastest survivor will win the R5 000 cash prize.

Zombies have been strategically placed and conned into momentarily staying along the course. Stumblers can expect to be eaten, therefore teamwork is strongly encouraged.

Two options are available for contestants, zombie or survivor:

Survivors will run the course while the zombies will dress and act like the walking dead, scaring the living daylights out of those yummy survivors.

The race takes place on 16 November at 7:30am at Owl River, River Estate, Lanseria.
