Santa Shoebox Project

With “share the joy of giving” as the essence of this Christmas project, the Santa Shoebox Project offers people the chance to participate in a charitable experience that is not only profoundly valuable, but personal too. An initiative of the Kidz2Kidz Trust, the nationwide project has, since 2006, been collecting “Santa Shoeboxes” for thousands of disadvantaged and vulnerable children. Donors are involved in personally selecting a specific child off the project’s website, which means each donor knows the name, age and gender of the child. Gift boxes – the Santa Shoeboxes – are not only filled with essentials like soap and toothpaste, but also sweets, educational supplies, toys, clothing, and whatever other items you as the donor feel your selected child would enjoy. It is this personal touch that makes the project so magical.

To get involved, log onto the website and make a pledge. Santa Shoebox drop-off areas include Noorheuwel, Randpark Ridge, Sandton, and Parkview.
