Six people sustained moderate to serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter Road and 14th Avenue yesterday afternoon, 22 October.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann says, “Upon our arrival at the scene we found that two motor vehicles had been involved in a side-impact accident. One person sustained critical injuries while five others sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
“One of the injured people was entrapped in one of the vehicles and Netcare 911’s rescue unit had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the person from the vehicle.
“All the injured were treated on scene before they were transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical care.
“Exact details of the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear and will be investigated by the police”.
