On behalf of the residents, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you for the article written and placed in the Record (Witpoortjie’s Ebenezer House in need, page 19, 27 September).
The response has been phenomenal.
We could not have asked for better timing. Apart from the large donations of clothing, linen and curtains, we also had Dr Susan Rothman Lions responding to the article. She will be volunteering her expertise and time to the home’s residents as a counsellor. The volunteer psychiatrist said in a recent meeting that we should get a counsellor on board, now we have her!
The article made a huge impact in our home and you are responsible for making a huge contribution to the success of this appeal.
